- Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and received a Score Card are eligible. PET score of zero or negative = NOT eligible.

Only those candidates who appeared in PET-2025 (Preliminary Eligibility Test 2025) and have received a Score Card from UPSSSC are eligible. The posts are at Level-5 of the Pay Matrix. For most departments, the pay scale is ₹29,200 (minimum) to ₹92,300 (maximum) per month, with a Grade Pay of ₹2800. For some departments (like UP Rajkiya Nirman Nigam, Audyogik Vikas Vibhag), the pay scale starts from ₹5,200 with a maximum of ₹20,200. In addition, candidates receive DA, HRA, and other government allowances.
The selection is based on a Written Main Examination only — there is no interview. Shortlisting for the main exam is done based on the PET-2025 Normalized Score (15 times the vacancies per category). The main exam has 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks in 2 hours, with negative marking of 1/4th per wrong answer. Final selection is based on merit in the written exam followed by document verification.
