🎓 Educational Qualification
Mandatory Qualification: Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination from the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or any recognized board/authority approved by the government.
Desirable/Additional Qualification (Preference will be given to):
- Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years, OR
- Candidates who hold the NCC ‘B’ Certificate.

Candidates in Uttar Pradesh’s reserved categories are the only ones who get age relaxation benefits. Even if they’re from SC/ST/OBC, non-UP domicile applicants must apply as Unreserved (General). The selection will be based on the following stages:
- PET-2025 Score Based Shortlisting – Only PET-2025 qualified candidates can apply. Shortlisting for the main exam is done based on normalized PET-2025 score (category-wise, 15x total vacancies).
- Main Written Examination (Likhit Pariksha) – This is the primary selection basis. Objective type, 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours duration. Negative marking applies (25% of question marks i.e., ¼ mark deducted per wrong answer).
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Qualifying in nature. Organized after the written exam for shortlisted candidates.

- Go to the “Live Advertisement Segment” on the homepage and find Advertisement No. 08-Pariksha/2026.
- Login using your PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.
- Your personal details from PET-2025 (name, father’s name, mother’s name, category, DOB, gender, etc.) will auto-populate.

📜 General Conditions
- Only candidates who participated in PET-2025 and received a score card are eligible.
- Candidates must possess all required educational qualifications by 24 June 2026.
- Reservation benefits are only for UP domicile candidates. Non-UP candidates are treated as Unreserved.
- For EWS reservation: Family income must be below ₹8 lakh per annum. EWS certificate must be issued between 01 April 2026 and 24 June 2026 (based on FY 2025-26 income and valid for FY 2026-27).
- Married male candidates with more than one living wife are not eligible. Similarly, women who have married such men are not eligible (unless exempted by the Governor).
- Date of birth will be accepted only as mentioned in High School (Class 10) certificate.
- Government employees in service must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
- Candidates who score zero or negative in PET-2025 (actual or normalized) will not be shortlisted.
- If a candidate provides false information, their candidature can be cancelled at any stage.
- Any malpractice, cheating, or misconduct in the exam will lead to debarment from future exams as per UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act-2024.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The last date to submit the online application and pay the fee is 24 June 2026. However, fee reconciliation and permitted amendments in the application form can be done till 01 July 2026. No application or fee will be accepted after these dates under any circumstances.
Only those candidates who appeared in PET-2025 (Preliminary Eligibility Test 2025) and have been issued a score card by UPSSSC are eligible. Additionally, candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized board and must be between 18 to 40 years of age as on 01 July 2026. UP domicile is mandatory for availing reservation benefits.
The selected candidates will be placed at Level-2 of the Pay Matrix. The minimum basic pay is ₹19,900 per month and the maximum pay scale goes up to ₹63,200 per month. In addition, candidates will be entitled to government allowances like DA, HRA, TA, and other state government perks as per UP government rules.
The selection process involves four stages: (1) PET-2025 score-based shortlisting for the main exam, (2) Main Written Examination of 100 marks with negative marking, (3) Physical Measurement Test (PMT) which is qualifying in nature, and (4) Physical Efficiency Test (PFT) — running 4.8 km in 25 min for males and 2.4 km in 14 min for females. Final merit is based on the written exam score.
The application fee for all categories (General, OBC, SC, ST) is just ₹25, which is the online processing fee. There is no application fee as such. Payment can be made via Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan. Note that Main Exam fee will be charged separately to shortlisted candidates before admit card download.
