SSC CGL 2026 follows a two-tier Computer Based Examination (CBE) system:

- Only Indian Citizens can apply. Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, or persons of Indian origin from certain countries may apply with an eligibility certificate from the Government of India.
- Only male candidates are eligible for vacancies in the Border Roads Organization (BRO).
- Final merit is prepared solely on Tier-II marks; Tier-I serves as a screening test.
