The last date to submit the online application is 06 July 2026. The last date to deposit the application fee is 10 July 2026. Candidates are advised to apply well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Candidates who have passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent and hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade are eligible to apply. They must also have passed Punjabi at Matriculation level. Age should be between 18 to 37 years as on 01 January 2026 (with relaxation for reserved categories).
The minimum basic pay for the Assistant Lineman post is ₹19,900/- per month as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (PSPCL Financial Circular No. 21/2022). During the probation period of 3 years, only the minimum admissible pay will be provided without any Grade Pay, DA, or annual increment (except TA and medical reimbursement).
The selection process consists of three stages: (1) Computer Based Online Test (CBT) — with a mandatory Punjabi Language qualifying test (Part-I) and a technical + general test (Part-II); (2) Document Verification for qualified candidates; and (3) Offer of Appointment and Joining. There is no interview round.

Yes, Punjabi Language is mandatory at two levels. First, candidates must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation level as part of eligibility.
