The National Institute of Biologicals (NIB), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has released the NIB Recruitment 2026 notification for multiple posts including Scientist Grade-II, Scientist Grade-III, Junior Scientist, Administrative Assistant, Junior Hindi Translator, Laboratory Technician, and Assistant-II.
The institute invites online applications for 42 vacancies through direct recruitment.

Discipline and Educational Qualification
Scientist Grade-II
Medical
- MBBS from recognized medical college
- PG degree in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Hematology / Bacteriology / Serology etc.
- 5 years relevant experience
Non-Medical
- Master’s degree with 60% marks in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Molecular Biology etc.
- 7 years relevant experience in biological research, vaccines, quality control, or medical device evaluation
OR
- PhD in relevant discipline with 3 years experience
Desirable: Publications in indexed journals.
Scientist Grade-III (Veterinarian)
- M.V.Sc degree in:
- Veterinary Medicine
- Veterinary Public Health
- Veterinary Microbiology
- Veterinary Pathology
- Veterinary Epidemiology
Experience: 2 years laboratory / veterinary practice
Junior Scientist
- Master’s degree in:
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
- Bioinformatics
- Biochemistry
- Molecular Biology
- Pharmacology
- 1 year relevant experience
Administrative Assistant
- Graduate with minimum 50% marks
- 5 years experience in administration / accounts / stores
- Desirable: Diploma in Computer or IT
Junior Hindi Translator
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English or English with Hindi
- Diploma in translation (Hindi ↔ English)
OR
- 2 years translation experience in government office
Laboratory Technician
- B.Sc in Biology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry
AND
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
Experience: 1 year laboratory experience
Assistant-II
- 12th pass with 50% marks
- Typing speed:
- 35 WPM in English OR
- 30 WPM in Hindi
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Scientist Grade-II & III
- Minimum 60% marks in computer based test
Junior Scientist & Lab Technician
- General / OBC / EWS: 50%
- SC / ST: 40%
Junior Hindi Translator
- Paper-I: Minimum 50%
Administrative Assistant & Assistant-II
- Minimum 60% marks in CBT
