❓ FAQ Section
The last date to submit the online application for AIIMS CRE-5 is 3rd July 2026 up to 5:00 PM. No extension will be given under any circumstances. Candidates are advised to apply well in advance to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Eligibility depends on the post group applied for. Qualifications range from 10th pass (for Group C lower posts) to Degree/Diploma in relevant technical/professional fields (for Group B posts). Candidates must be Indian nationals and must fulfil the age and educational criteria as on the closing date (3rd July 2026). Refer to Annexure-I of the official notification for post-wise eligibility.
The posts are in Pay Matrix Levels 1 to 7 (as per 7th Pay Commission). Pay Level 1 applies to lowest Group C posts (MTS, attendants) and Pay Level 7 to senior Group B posts (Assistant Engineers, Dieticians with experience, etc.). The exact pay level for each post is mentioned in Annexure-I. In addition, candidates receive DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules applicable at the respective institute.
Selection happens in two stages: Stage 1 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 MCQs (400 marks, 90 minutes) with 1/4 negative marking. Stage 2 is a Skill Test / Typing Test / Trade Test (where applicable), which is qualifying in nature. The final merit list is prepared purely on CBT performance. After merit listing, candidates exercise choices for institutes, and seats are allocated based on merit and preference.
The fee is ₹3,000 for General/OBC candidates and ₹2,400 for SC/ST/EWS candidates. PwBD candidates are fully exempted. Fee is paid online via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking. A separate fee must be paid for each post group applied. The fee is non-refundable except for SC/ST candidates who appear in the exam — they get a refund after result declaration.
Yes, you can apply for multiple groups if you are eligible. However, you must fill a separate application form and pay a separate fee for each group.
