The candidates are requested to go through Annexure-I of the official notice, which contains the educational qualification criteria for each position. As this examination is for higher secondary level, the majority of the positions will require candidates to have passed the 12th standard or 10+2 examination.
📉 Minimum Qualifying Marks
It is clear from the notification that only such candidates who have achieved the required standards as decided by the A&N administration on its own discretion alone will be able to take Tier-II (Physical/Trade/Skill Test), as the case may be. There are no pre-defined cutoff marks which are fixed beforehand, but decided post the examination.
As such, cutoff marks carry considerable importance when it comes to selection and verifying documents. The cutoff marks are decided based on one’s performance in the examination. Therefore, it becomes necessary for any candidate applying for this exam to secure maximum marks possible in all four subjects of the TBT.
🎂 Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years for Group B(NG) posts (Male & Female) | 33 years for Group C posts (Male) | 38 years for Group C posts (Female)
- Age is calculated as on the closing date of online application (05/07/2026)
Category-wise Age Relaxation:
| Category | Group B(NG) | Group C – Male | Group C – Female |
|---|---|---|---|
| ST | 35 years | 38 years | 43 years |
| OBC | — | 36 years | 41 years |
| PwD (Unreserved) | 40 years | 43 years | 48 years |
| PwD (OBC) | 43 years | 46 years | 51 years |
| PwD (ST) | 45 years | 48 years | 53 years |
| Ex-Servicemen | 3 years after deducting military service from actual age | — | — |
| Central Govt. Civilian Employee | 5 years (allied posts, Group B NG) | Up to 40 years (45 for ST) | — |
| DRM/Contractual/SSCT Employees | As per A&N circular orders | Up to 40 years (45 for ST) | — |
Age relaxation is a major benefit to the reserved category as well as ex-servicemen candidates. Female candidates seeking admission for Group C posts automatically have a five-year advantage over male candidates that is further enhanced through category relaxations. Be sure to carry your original age proof documents when doing document verification.
💰 Application Fee
| Category | Fee |
|---|---|
| General / OBC / EWS | ₹100/- |
| Female Candidates | NIL (Exempted) |
| SC / ST Candidates | NIL (Exempted) |
| Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) | NIL (Exempted) |
Payment Mode: Net Banking, VISA/Master/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card, UPI Payment, or QR Code.
The application fee is only ₹100, which makes this a very cheap option for recruitment. Candidates who fall under female, SC/ST, and physically challenged categories do not have to pay anything as their applications are totally free of cost. It is very important to make the payment process complete in order to successfully apply to the job post.
⚙️ Selection Process
The selection will be carried out in the following stages:
Tier-I: Tablet Based Test (TBT) – Online Examination
- All shortlisted applications will be called for the TBT Online Examination.
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and post preference.
Tier-II: Physical Standard Examination / Physical Measurement & Endurance / Skill / Trade Test
- Applicable only for specific posts where prescribed as essential qualification.
- Tier-II is qualifying in nature only — it does not add to the final merit score.
Document/Certificate Verification
- Shortlisted candidates from Tier-I must upload original certificates on the A&N Administration website on a scheduled date.
- Failure to submit on time will result in removal from the panel.
Tier I is the crucial part; your ranks and selections will ultimately depend on it. The purpose of Tier II is only to qualify, so pay more attention to that in your preparation. Document verification is the last process in which your eligibility will be confirmed.
