Assam Land Records Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 552 LRA Posts

The Directorate of Land Records & Surveys (DLRS), Assam has released an official notification for the recruitment of Land Records Assistant (LRA) posts. A total of 552 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of DLRS Assam.

Candidates who have completed HSLC and Recorder Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre are eligible to apply.

The recruitment aims to strengthen the workforce supporting digital land mapping and land record modernization in Assam.

Number of Vacancies

Total Posts: 552

The category-wise reservation and final vacancy distribution will be published later before the written examination.

Discipline and Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Educational Qualification

• Must have passed HSLC (Class 10) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Technical Qualification

• Candidates must have passed the Recorder Certificate Class Course (RCCC) training from:
  • Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati.

Computer Knowledge

Candidates must have:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Typing speed of 30 words per minute in Assamese or Bengali (Unicode).

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2025.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Selection Process

Selection will be done through two stages:

1. Written Examination

• Total Marks: 80
• Duration: 100 minutes
• Type: Objective (MCQ)

Subjects include:

• Mathematics (Class 10 level)
• Land Survey
• Computer Knowledge

Negative Marking:
0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Skill Test

• Total Marks: 20
• Computer proficiency test including:
  • Typing
  • Data entry
  • Document preparation
  • File handling
  • Printing and formatting

Only candidates qualifying in the written exam will be called for the skill test.
