Excellent news for all the aspirants of SSC CGL 2025! The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the final result of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025 on 14 May 2026. In case you are an examinee who appeared in the CGLE exam and underwent Sliding/Identity Verification, then the time has arrived when all your hard work will yield fruit.

Out of the total number of applicants, 15,118 candidates have been finally selected for various Group B and Group C positions in different central government ministries/departments. After undergoing the first round of tentative allocation announced on 08 April 2026 and the subsequent mandatory Sliding/Identity Verification process from 13–22 April 2026.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a central government body functioning under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India. SSC CGL 2025 Result Details

Fix, Float and New Allocation Breakdown

After the Sliding/Identity Verification process, candidates exercised their FIX or FLOAT option. Candidates who selected FIX retained their previously allocated post. Candidates who selected FLOAT were considered for a better post based on merit and preference. 452 new allocations were made against vacancies created due to absent candidates.

Merit List Information

The allocation of posts to eligible candidates has been made on the basis of:

  • Merit-cum-preference of posts submitted by candidates online
  • FIX/FLOAT option exercised during Sliding/Identity Verification process

Fresh ranks have been allotted to all candidates included in the final result. These new ranks will supersede the ranks allocated in the FRTA. Results of 106 candidates have been kept withheld due to various reasons.

Tie-Breaking Criteria (Applied in Order)

In cases where two or more candidates scored identical marks in Tier-II, ties were resolved using the following order:

  1. Marks scored in Paper-II of Tier-II (applicable for JSO/SI Grade-II posts only)
  2. Marks scored in Section-I of Paper-I of Tier-II
  3. Date of Birth — older candidate placed higher
  4. Alphabetical order of names

  4. The result PDF (write-up no. HQ-C11018/5/2025-C-1) will open
  5. Download and save the PDF for future reference
  6. Check the post-wise and category-wise cut off tables to verify your selection status
  7. Login to your SSC candidate portal to check your individual allocation details

Important Instructions for Selected Candidates

If you have been selected in the SSC CGL 2025 Final Result, here is what you must know:

  • Document Verification will be conducted by the allocated User Department, not by SSC. Wait for communication from your concerned department.
  • If no communication is received within 6 months from the result declaration date, contact your allocated User Department directly. SSC will not handle such correspondence.
  • E-Dossiers will be compiled electronically by the Commission and made available to Nodal Officers of User Departments. Dossiers sent through any other mode will not be accepted.
  • No Reserve List or Waiting List has been prepared. Unfilled vacancies will be carried forward to subsequent years by the concerned departments.
  • PwD Candidates — User Departments are advised to verify eligibility with respect to disability independently.
  • Supreme Court Order Note: As per the order dated 23 February 2026 of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No. 7246/2026, any allocation or appointments that are the subject matter of WP (C) No. 1733/2026 (Pramod Kumar Rai and Ors. vs Union of India) shall be subject to the final outcome of that Writ Petition.
  • Final Answer Keys and detailed marks of all selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded on the SSC website in due course.
  • Withheld Results: Results of 106 candidates have been kept withheld due to various reasons (as per List-3 of the official write-up).
