Important Notes:
- Candidates must fill complete graduation details in the online application form.
- For posts with special optional subjects, candidates must select the subject while applying — otherwise candidacy will be rejected.
- Appearing candidates (final year students) can also apply subject to completion of degree before document verification.
A graduation degree from a recognized university is the base qualification for all BPSC 72nd CCE posts. Candidates with Science, Arts, or Commerce backgrounds are all eligible for Table-I posts. BPSC 72nd CCE follows a 3-stage selection process:
Stage 1 — Preliminary Examination (Part-1)
- General Studies (Objective/MCQ type)
- Duration: 2 hours | Total Marks: 150
- 5 options per question (A, B, C, D, E) — choosing E means “not attempting”
- Negative Marking: 1/3 marks deducted per wrong answer
- This is only a screening test — marks NOT counted in final merit
- Candidates selected for Mains = 10 times total vacancies (category-wise)
Stage 2 — Main (Written) Examination (Part-2)
- General Hindi: 100 marks (3 hours) — 30% minimum marks mandatory
- General Studies Paper-I: 300 marks (3 hours)

- Essay (Nibandh): 300 marks (3 hours)

- Digilocker Linking: After OTR, Digilocker’s Meri Pehchan Portal will open — sign in or create account and give OAMS consent
- Profile Creation (6 Steps):

It should be kept in mind that the process of applying for BPSC 72nd CCE is completely electronic and there are no other means allowed for the purpose. First-time applicants need to be especially careful about their One Time Registration procedure since Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Aadhaar Number, and Date of Birth cannot be edited thereafter.
📜 General Conditions & Important Rules
- Reservation benefit only available to domicile residents of Bihar — candidates from other states get no reservation
- Married women must submit caste/income certificate in their father’s name, not husband’s name
- EWS candidates need income certificate issued as per GAD notification No. 2622 dated 26.02.2019
- PwBD (40% or above disability) candidates only are eligible for 4% horizontal reservation
- Candidates already barred by UPSC/State PSC or any selection body are NOT eligible
- Only Matriculation certificate date of birth is accepted — no other proof
- Candidates can appear in Prelims from multiple shifts/sets if paper is held in multiple batches
- Online application once submitted with errors must be cancelled and re-filled — fee not refunded
- Fake or incorrect information leads to permanent disqualification
- Candidates must keep 4 copies of recent passport-size photographs safely for future use
- Bihar Govt employees get max 5 attempts throughout service, counting from GAD notification date (12.12.2022)

BPSC 72वीं संयुक्त प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा 2026 के लिए ऑनलाइन आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि 31 मई 2026 है। आवेदन 07 मई 2026 से शुरू हो चुके हैं। उम्मीदवार https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in पर जाकर आवेदन कर सकते हैं।
इस भर्ती में सारणी-I के अंतर्गत 1077 पद (+ 344 महिला आरक्षित) और सारणी-II के अंतर्गत 253+ पद हैं। कुल मिलाकर 1700 से अधिक पद विभिन्न विभागों में भरे जाएंगे।
सारणी-I के सभी पदों के लिए किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातक (Graduation) होना अनिवार्य है। सारणी-II के पदों (CDPO, FAO, अनुमंडल संरक्षण पदाधिकारी) के लिए विशेष वैकल्पिक विषय के साथ स्नातक आवश्यक है।
01 अगस्त 2026 को आधार मानते हुए — अनारक्षित (पुरुष) के लिए अधिकतम आयु 37 वर्ष, अनारक्षित (महिला) और OBC/EBC के लिए 40 वर्ष तथा SC/ST के लिए 42 वर्ष है। दिव्यांग उम्मीदवारों को 10 वर्ष की अतिरिक्त छूट मिलती है।
चयन प्रक्रिया 3 चरणों में होती है: (1) प्रारंभिक परीक्षा — 150 अंक, MCQ, 2 घंटे (स्क्रीनिंग मात्र); (2) मुख्य परीक्षा — 900 अंक (लिखित); (3) व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण (Interview) — 120 अंक। अंतिम मेधा सूची 1020 अंकों के आधार पर बनाई जाएगी।
सभी वर्ग के उम्मीदवारों के लिए प्रत्येक परीक्षा का शुल्क ₹100/- है। यदि आवेदन में आधार नंबर अंकित नहीं है तो Biometric Fee के रूप में ₹200 अतिरिक्त देना होगा। शुल्क वापस नहीं होगा।
हाँ, कोई भी भारतीय नागरिक जो स्नातक हो और आयु सीमा में हो, आवेदन कर सकता है। लेकिन आरक्षण का लाभ केवल बिहार के मूल निवासियों को मिलेगा। अन्य राज्यों के उम्मीदवारों को अनारक्षित श्रेणी में रखा जाएगा।
