Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has released the official notification for Engagement of Graduate Apprentice Trainees (Engineering) for the Year 2026–27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
HPCL Marketing Division proposes to engage Graduate Apprentice Trainees in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines across India.

🎓 Discipline & Educational Qualification
Engineering Streams Eligible:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
Qualification Criteria:
- Engineering Graduation (B.E./B.Tech)
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks for UR/OBC-NC
- Minimum 50% aggregate for SC/ST/PwBD
Candidates must have completed Engineering on or after 01 April 2023.
Candidates who completed before 01-04-2023 are NOT eligible.
All qualifications must be recognized by AICTE/UGC/Board of Technical Education.
🎂 Age Limit (As on 02-03-2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 Years
- OBC – 3 Years
- PwBD – 10 Years

💰 Monthly Stipend
Selected candidates will receive:
₹25,000 per month
- ₹20,500 paid by HPCL
- ₹4,500 paid directly by Government of India under DBT Scheme
📝 Selection Process
1️⃣ Applications will be screened based on Engineering marks.
2️⃣ Shortlisting ratio: 1:5 against available slots.
3️⃣ Document Verification.
4️⃣ Final Merit List prepared after verification.
5️⃣ Signing of Tri-partite Apprenticeship Contract on NATS Portal.

🚫 No Interview
No TA/DA will be paid for document verification.
📌 Eligibility Conditions (Important)
- Only Indian Nationals eligible.
- Must be registered and approved on NATS 2.0 Portal.
- Candidates already undergoing apprenticeship elsewhere are NOT eligible.
- Candidates with 1 year or more work experience are NOT eligible.
- Only one application allowed. Multiple applications will be rejected.
⏳ Training Period
- Duration: 1 Year Only
- Engagement governed under Apprentices Act, 1961
HPCL does NOT guarantee permanent employment after completion of apprenticeship.
However, HPCL provides:
✔ Age relaxation equivalent to apprenticeship period (max 1 year)
✔ Additional 5% grace marks in future HPCL CBT recruitment

- No housing or additional allowance beyond stipend.
- Category certificates must be in prescribed format.
- OBC certificate must indicate Non-Creamy Layer status.
